ARTIST STATEMENT
Photography is not simply my way of recording the world; it is my way of encountering it. It is both a spiritual practice and a creative endeavor. Photography has helped quiet my overactive mind, I've learned to be more present, more observant, more grateful.
Armed only with my hand held Nikon, I head out to capture pockets of beauty, signs of hope and grace in my everyday world - as found at ground level.
At a time when our common life feels cruel, when it feels the world as we've known it is ending, creating art feels self indulgent. oth seen and unseen—and as reminders that beauty, wonder, and hope remain.
